Lighting technology has undergone significant changes from light bulb to fluorescent lamp to LED and now OLED. Apart from enhancing the energy efficient aspect, the technique has also instilled greater flexibility and adaptability into lighting design. Designer Danny Kuo has crafted a lamp called “Liberty” using polystyrene, aluminum and steel. The light fitting’s dynamic design makes it functional for various situations. The user can adjust the lamp up to 180 degrees and the also adjust light intensity by dimming it. The size too has been kept minimum to fit into smaller spaces.
