Advance Mobility, futuristic phone on your fingertips

advance mobility 02

With latest advancement in technology, mobile devices such as mobile phones and PMPs are changing their skin and texture to become more compact but at the same time functional. Conceived by an Indian designer Amit Marathe, the “Advance Mobility” is a compact device that performs basic functions of a cellphone and uses our natural intuition of employing fingers for counting and other activities.

Comprising two cylindrical units, made in elastomer, to be worn on the index finger and thumb, the mobility device projects the numbers on the pressure points of the fingers that the user need to press to dial a number. Both the units, connected via Bluetooth, come embedded with a circuit. The unit worn on the thumb works as earpiece and contains speaker and other controls like display and buttons, while on the other hand, the other unit acts as mouthpiece and contains a mic and probe for sensing pressure points.
