Can we get done with the ‘oh so formal’ cutlery while consuming our grub? Atleast not while we relish the crunchy noodles or our favorite saucy chopsueys. But hold on, what I saw at the ‘Dining in 2015’ competition came as a fresh concept that somewhat would rid us of the heavy forks and knives. The Finger Cutlery designed by the Chinese Jie Zhu places the cutlery pieces on your finger tips. The result is that you can eat without much hand movements as the fingers are more agile, thus making it ideal for dining in areas with less space.
In the same competition A Spanish designer Enoc Armengol presented the concept of ‘serving condiment set’ that integrates the salt and pepper with the cutlery items. Quite an interesting concept as you wouldn’t need to struggle to get hold of the fork and spoon lying elsewhere, after you sprinkle the salt and pepper on your delicious salad!
