Developed by by Ohio-based Silveira Group, the “Green Samba” is a personal watercraft (PWC) that adds sustainability to the thrill of stirring water sports. Employing twin direct drive electric propulsion pods, fueled by onboard batteries, the zero-emission PWC delivers straight line 65mph performance of the fastest 260bhp PWC’s without releasing any hydrocarbons or producing any noise. Created with the specific intent of creating the PWC V 3.0, the Green Samba allows a motorcycle-like ride floating on the waves. Set for a working prototype of the carbon fiber construction Green Samba for testing later this year, the Silveira Group has plans to customize it for marine research, and environmental and other groups with particular needs.
