Installed at the basement entrance of the Seibu department store in Ikebukuro, Japan, the “Hikari no Tokei” is a giant light clock that uses about 11,000 LED bulbs to display time on a big pillar. Designed by Yugo Nakamura and Yukihiro Takahashi, the massive LED clock plays music to indicate each passing hour and interact with the user or passersby in a more effective manner. Though we don’t have much information on other aspects of the clock, still you can go through the video to see the big clock in motion after the jump.
