Adding sustainability to the wild spirit of trikes, New York-based artist Josh Hadar has come up with an electric three-wheeler that mounts a 750-watt array of six solar panels on the roof to power the Mars Electric motor. The electric motor can produce 4.8 kilowatts (6.4 horsepower) to take you at the top speed of 45mph. Featuring an Alltrax programmable controller and pimped gear ratios, the E-Trike also includes four 12-volt lead-acid batteries to ensure the range of up to 30 miles on a single charge, which the user can enhance with a lithium nano-phosphate battery pack. Moving on a 20-inch front wheel and 26-inches rear wheels, the solar three-wheeler touts a carbon-steel frame that is coated with gloss black powder to give it sleek, glossy looks.
