There’s a reason why Spanish designer Jamie Hayon is so famous. His previous works of passion includes a bathtub, champagne bucket and bowl, but this current view has to be his most impeccable attempt at style. Fashioned from Suryln (used in molded items), the bar and lampshade combo is reminiscent of the psychedelic era of the 80’s. the bold red color could have easily been an eyesore, considering the fact that bold colors on large pieces of furniture gives a constricting illusion. But the red supersedes all boundaries and becomes the character of the piece. The clever textured finish of the lampshade agrees with the entire concept and gives it a distinguished look. I usually don’t indulge in such bulky furniture, lack of space not withstanding. but given a choice, I would definitely vote this Champagne Bar and Lamp, ten on ten!
