Babyfon smart sensor monitors your child’s health for better parental care

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is the leading cause of death among infants 1 month to 1 year old. With 2,500 baby lives claimed each year within the US alone, it remains unpredictable despite years of research. However, to reduce the risk of this silent killer, designer Pia Weitgasser has designed a smart sensor called Babyfon to help parents nurture their baby more securely. The device is basically a smart phone with a smart sensoring user interface application. It is attached to a baby diaper and gives constant feedback on the child’s health. It also sends an emergency alarm if necessary, thereby ensuring optimal health and quality of life for both the parents and their little ones.
