Created by Mitch Shivers, an industrial designer from Philippines, the bicycle-powered washing machine is an innovative appliance cum mobility device that lets you do the laundry while enjoying a ride on your bike. Integrating a 30-gal steel drum with built-in washing system to an ordinary bike, the new washing machine harnesses human energy used to pedal the bike. Users can simply put the dirty clothes in the washing machine and take the bike downtown for daily shopping or an evening ride to return with clean clothes. The human powered washing machine not only provides an economical appliance to wash your clothes, but also helps in sustaining the environment.
