The “Book Cell” by Slovakian artist Matej Kren is an octagonal structure made entirely in books that the designer borrowed from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Installed in the Modern Art Center, Lisboa, the enclosed room of stacked literature presents a neat symmetry of books, turning the cell into a piece of art. The Book Cell not only features a simple yet striking design but also becomes a symbol of knowledge, learning and creativity.
