Created for the International Housewares Competition, the Inverted Blender by industrial designer Craig Hines addresses the drawbacks of the traditional blender designs and looks to solve problems like access to the food ordinarily left trapped in the bottom blade, cord management and of course, the space hogged by bulky blenders. Hines takes on the challenge by transforming the main body of the blender in a personal mug with the blade being mounted on top of the motor base itself which allows users to mount the inverted mug on top of the blade, and when the blending is finished, users can also drink their shakes and smoothies right from the mug itself! The compact body of the design allows you to comfortable store it practically anywhere and even if you leave it on the counter, it sure won’t be as space hogging as the one your mum has! Sweet!
