Concept designs are different, not only because they come in unusual shapes but also because they show us glimpses of the future. Such designs require an equally stunning place for exhibition, for it to be an enriching experience for the visitors. Keeping these requirements as a base, Andreas Hoerl, a graduate student at the University of Innsbruck has designed a swimming architecture, which he calls the Flotsam. Flotsam is a conceptual design where designers from around the world can display their creations. The curved area allows each design to be exhibited to a large number of audience, including those who not necessarily are watching that design. The large open spaces allow the visitor to get a glimpse of more than one design without changing his/her location in the gallery. This space not only offers a clear view but sometimes gives the feeling that its forcing itself onto the visitor.
