Designed by architect Zaha Hadid for lighting brand Artemide, the “Genesy” is a floor light that draws inspiration from the organic development of trees, giving it a natural look surfacing straight from nature. Launched at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Milan, the Genesy increases in complexity as it rises from the floor, with a central support sprouting branches, quite similar to a growing organism, to enhance the dynamic tensional forces of the structure. Finished with injection-molded foam polyurethane, the floor lamp spreads both direct LED light and indirect light, which can be controlled separately by two touch dimmers located on the body.
