The speakers are powered by three layers of photovoltaic panels that are incorporated onto their surface. The solar panels charge the built-in battery pack, allowing the user to use the speakers even after sunset. The Gramo is designed to be compatible with most DAPs, including the iPod and iPhone. If you want some digital entertainment when outdoors, the speakers can be bent flat and carried in a pocket.
