Very much like the Creativi*tea by Sarina Fiero, the “one” tea kettle by Vessel Ideation, Inc. has some invisible graphics that appear once you start heating it over the stove. The “one” tea kettle is a single vessel designed with both boiling and serving in mind. Designed by Dan Chung, Tony Ruth, Steve Abueva and Mike Serafin, the kettle features an intuitive magnetic trivet that fastens to the base only when the kettle is hot. Users can bring it directly to the table for serving. The triveted pot is safe to keep on the table. Thermochromic inks have been used for the decorative graphic patterns. When the water in the kettle starts boiling, these graphic patterns become visible. The spring-loaded stopper allows water to flow inwards when filling and blocks outwards flow during pouring. This innovative tea kettle was also the winner of the World Kitchen “Tea Off!” Tea Kettle design competition.
