House of Bug – VW beetle inspires house design

This VW beetle house might look like a pet project construction, but I bet you take it more seriously when you hear the whopping $1.6 million the building is valued at. I am as baffled as you are as to how a plain wood house that is barely the size of small garage came to be worth so much. Is there gold, platinum, or some precious crystals built into it? A friend of mine joked that the money was what they had to pay VW for property rights. One may give this price some consideration taking into mind that it is built to be highly efficient and eco-friendly. Perhaps a lot of prototype technology (which usually costs a lot) was installed in the building components. Whatever the cost justification is, we have to appreciate the nostalgia in here with modeling a building after a renowned classic vehicle. Austria happens to be home to the VW beetle house, where I’m sure its drawing attention, at least from those who’ve read about its astronomical price tag.
