Human-powered vehicle, the Pardo, imitates a running cheetah

Wildlife has been a great source of inspiration for designers. Designed by Pablo Lopez for Innovar, an annual contest held in Argentina, the “Pardo” is a human-powered vehicle that seems to imitate the running posture of a cheetah. Generating power from two pedals located on the lower part, the tricycle is intended to run on race tracks. The rider pushes the pedal down with his or her feet, making the vehicle move forward. Apart from allowing an eco ride, the Pardo can also be folded into a smaller dimension for easy storage as well as transportation.
