Designed for lighting distributor/manufacturer Itre, the “Trex lamp” by designer Karim Rashid is a rough hexagonal light that features a flat metal base, so it could be used as both a wall and ceiling lamp. Finished in “acrylic heat-formed with a three-way spine to give it contour,” the new lamp uses fluorescent bulbs of 22 watts and 40 watts to spread the light as well as shadows across its surface.
