No matter how much you spend on the interior of your space, lighting remains an important aspect, which gives a new life to the home decor. Designed for lighting distributor/manufacturer Itre, the “Trex lamp” by designer Karim Rashid is a rough hexagonal light that features a flat metal base, so it could be used as both a wall and ceiling lamp. Finished in “acrylic heat-formed with a three-way spine to give it contour,” the new lamp uses fluorescent bulbs of 22 watts and 40 watts to spread the light as well as shadows across its surface. In addition, users can arrange a number of lamps to form different lighting patterns on the wall.
