Kitchen and bath combined: Philippe Malouin’s super space saving ‘Unit’

kitchen and bath combined

Designed by the Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Philippe Malouin, the ‘Unit’ seems to be the ultimate answer to the modern apartment’s space woes. Since the average European flat ranges from 30 to 50 square meters, this kitchen/bath design integrates the two major space hogging setups in the flat allowing you the luxury of enhanced free floor space. The Unit actually features a kitchen, a table, a fridge and a bath tub, so you never have to feel left out or alone if you live with roommates. The only problem might be a radical decline in your appetite brought on by a vision of your not-so-perfect and not-so-straight roommate shaving his legs in the tub while you try to start your day with a coffee and a meal at the same platform!
