Encasing a fluorescent lamp within the traditional filament bulb, Italian designer Tomas Filippo Bordignon has devised a playful light that lets the users play with their ideas and create different shapes. Entitled the “Lampadà,” the bedside lamp makes use of an iron thread, enclosed in an electric wire skin, to remain steady on the table. The filament bulb gives it a traditional look, while the compact fluorescent lamp makes it energy efficient and durable. In short, the Lampadà offers a unique combination of flexible and sustainable designing.
