Growing urban population may have forced majority of city dwellers to live in cramped apartments, but these compact spaces have also given designers an opportunity to experiment and come up with some modular or multifunctional objects, so the residents could use the available space in a better way. The “LampStool” by Matilda Ringnér, a Swedish product designer based in Malmö, is an identical object that does exactly what its name suggests. Attaching a bulb underneath the sitting surface of a stool, the LampStool can be used as a lamp, stool and even a side table, meeting diverse needs of the users.
