‘Lie on the floor’ with Grasstanding urban furniture

grasstanding

In their early years, kids feel safe and secure on the floor, and often try to get closer to the flat surface for more freedom and comfort. Developed under the concept of “lay on the floor,” the “Grasstanding” by Colombian designer Julián Alfonso Herrrán is a modular urban furniture unit that allows different sitting and reclining postures for optimum comfort. Finished with stainless steel, teak wood, a concrete base with grass seeds or polyethylene synthetic lawn, the modular furniture unit is essentially an arrangement of four modules, with three of them fulfilling the basic needs of urban spaces like illumination (by the lamp/bench module), cleanliness (by the trashcan module) and rest (by the bench module). These modules are neatly woven in the puzzle land module that gives different possibilities of furniture configurations to the users while playing with their ideas.
