Bringing a child’s sense of awe and playfulness into high-end watchmaking, micro-technology engineer Maximilian Busser has developed a luxury wristwatch that for me is as big and baffling as its name, the “MB&F Horological Machine Number 3 Frog.” Featuring two sapphire crystal domes, made in solid aluminum, to indicate hours and minutes, the watch makes use of a new gear train to tell the time in a playful manner. The hour dome of the Frog, instead of 24-hour revolution, rotates in 12 hours that also drives the massive date wheel.
Presenting careful attention to detail, the N°3 Frog also touts a distinctive clover-head white gold screws and an engraved arrow to read over-sized date, together with a high-tech titanium case to protect the hand-finishing of the high-tuned engine buzzing inside. In addition, the limited edition wristwatch integrates a dazzling 22K gold battle-axe winding rotor to flaunt your wealth. You may choose between the Grade 5 titanium with blued rotor and a limited edition of 12 with mark-resistant black-coated titanium with green rotor.
