melodydrop 02
Drawing inspiration from the formation of a droplet or water drop flowing from a leaf or plant in the nature, the “Melody drop” by designer Rhea Jeong is a speaker dock for the “iPod Shuffle” that comes integrated with tumbler toy and works like a self-righting toy. Users can control the volume, play or pause functions the tracks by simply pushing, pulling or spinning the dock in diverse directions, which was envisaged by the designer as a form of a note in music. Assimilation of the tumbler toy within the speaker inflates the usability of the Melodydrop to a more intuitive and unique docking unit, playing the music like the sweet sound of rain droplets.
