Microscopy – The ‘Microscope’ Table

microscopy 2263
Do you remember that old and jarred microscope in your school lab? It really was fun handling those scientific instruments without even knowing their real worth. I still remember putting all sort of unimaginable things, including dead insects, under the slide to verify the hidden truth. To cut it short, the lab sessions were quite enlightening; its a different thing that this enlightenment was 100 per cent out of syllabus.

Designer Vahakn Matossian‘s Microscopy has given me a fresh reason to roam through the bylanes of those golden days. Microscopy is a table that gives a whole new meaning to the concept of microscopes tables. As the name suggests, the table is a microscope with a designer makeover. This elegant table features a glowing ‘hot-spot’ where you can place your object of attraction (for me, its still going to be some dead insect), and the table will enact its literal role and magnify it forty times it’s original size onto a central viewing circle. Though it is not meant for those crank scientists, it surely is a treat for all those inquisitive souls like me.
