Developed for Mozzo, the UK-based fairtrade coffee company, designer James Salvidge has come up with a unique coffee grinder called the “Mozzo Coffee Grinder” that makes use of a vacuum-sealed pod to maintain the freshness of coffee beans, so you can brew fresh all the while. Instead of pouring the beans into a hopper like a traditional grinder, the pod attaches to the grinder so that it remains sealed. You may also attach a second pod to collect the ground coffee, as it sealed until it is used. Based on a deli grinder, the Mozzo can be adjusted according to the required size of ground beans. Using stainless steel cutting burrs spinning at 450 rpm, the grinder ensures the ground coffee does not lose its flavor and aroma through frictional heating.
