Designers Andrea and Olaf have used their design firm Sternform Produktgestaltung as a mouthpiece for their own personal philosophy of life and their series of multi-purpose porcelain spheres called Niklas presents a fine example of their light hearted and pleasant view of human existence. The Niklas porcelain sphere is glazed on the inside with a spacious opening along with a mushroom like sector for hanging the thing apart from a plane foot. The piece lightly glows in the dark lending it to an array of interesting uses with users being allowed to really use their imagination as they stick a bulb in it and use it as a lamp, turn it into a gracious hanging flower pot, or even take it to the dinner table by using it as a very exotic soup dish or fruit bowl even!
