Exploring new frontiers in the world of leather furniture is this very nouveau Nothing to Hide furniture range by Willem Derrider. According to the designer, it results in some kind of creative suffocation when one sees mass produced and cookie cutter designs that people mark with yellow tags and prices rather than a separate name and identity, it’s therefore that the designer brought forward these range of stools covered with leather.
A diversity of moulds have been covered beautifully with leather and would look like logs of wood if seen from a distance. Designer Gaetano Pesce has also experimented with this idea before and I believe that’s where the inspiration comes from. Showcased in the Furniture Show, 2008, nothing to hide is sure to become popular!
