Minimalist design is the most distinctive aspect of contemporary furniture. Physical space being a persistent constraint in modern households, most furniture is designed to occupy the least of it in order to prevent any waste. However, we come across very few designs such as Occo which apart from dealing with the “space and waste” issue relives the Asian tradition of sitting on floors in a modern setup. Circular in design, Occo is a set of circular-shaped seats placed atop each other using a shaft and covered with a table top to form a composite piece. Occo can well become a talking point to discuss nitty-gritty affairs around a cup of coffee.
