Designing an architectural blueprint for a new building, home, office, or even a reception desk from the scratch is comparatively easy to creating something new by including existing design features. Designer Martin Pitonak picked the challenging task of constructing a wonderful low-budget reception desk around two already existing columns for a Remax office in Toronto. Martin built an octagonal shaped desk around an existing column using ¾ veneer particle board, trimmed with brushed nickel spits of metal. The back was finished with black melamine for better maintenance purposes. He also provided for two counter top surfaces; the upper for customers and the lower one for storage.
