Wintertime is the season for all things cozy, and this usually means staying inside where it’s nice and warm. However, just because the temperature is dropping, it doesn’t mean you don’t have to hibernate all season long.

2.  Ski Your Way Through Winter

What better way to celebrate snowy winters than to go skiing? While options are a bit limited to mountain areas, there are plenty of ski resorts all over the country. You may not be skiing down a mountain in Colorado, but there are some great hill slopes available across the United States.

Skiing is also a great option if you want to make your winter outdoor activity a family or friend event. You and your crew can enjoy going down the slopes and cozy on up with some drinks to warm up after a fun day!

3.  Head to the Bike Trails

Bike trails are all over, and they aren’t limited to cyclists only. If you’re looking to get outside this winter, grab your coat and gloves and head to a local bike trail. Similar to the AllTrails app, there are plenty of resources to find bike trail options in your area.

You can choose to run, jog, or go for a leisurely nature walk. Visiting bike trails is something that requires no planning and can be done as often as you would like. Just be careful of ice along the pavement, and you’re good to go!

4.  Cold Yoga

We’ve all heard about hot yoga, but what about cold yoga? That’s right. There are plenty of people who grab their mats and head outside to practice yoga in the wintertime. There’s something so soothing about focusing on your mind and body connection with snow falling at your feet.

If you’re lucky, you can find some cold yoga classes. However, you don’t need a yoga teacher to practice your downward facing dog. All you need is your mat and some warm clothes, and you are free to practice whenever and wherever you like. Warm weather is not necessary!

5.  Bonfire Time

Light up the cold winter night with a relaxing bonfire to really appeal to your senses. Bonfires are a great way to get outside during the colder months. You can have a romantic end to a date night or a family dinner where you spend quality time with those who matter the most.

Bonfires are also great for an alternative option for large indoor gatherings. You can always move outdoors at any time to catch your breath!
