Winner of the competition to design a five-star hotel in Mumbai, the financial capital of India, the “Panoramic Hotel” by Planet 3 Studios Architecture Pvt. Ltd., as its name suggests, creates a mesmerizing view, other than giving a peep into the lush green bird sanctuary surrounding the architecture. Inspired by the monolithic architecture, the hotel extends five arms into the bird century and accommodates a spa, health club, café, a large pool, restaurants and suites on the upper level. Each suite or room is attached with an open balcony that not only provides a panoramic view of the surroundings, but ensures privacy as well, while horizontal louvers on the exterior gives protection from the harsh tropical sun. A few of these louvers illuminate in subtle colors that look like floating lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere at night.
