Displayed at the Direktorenhaus art space in Berlin, the “Peg” from Studio Gorm is a unique furniture system, comprising wooden tables and benches, which when not in use collapses to hang on the wall, adding extra space to your living room. Featuring interchangeable legs that screws into tabletop or seat and mounts on the wall with magnets, the modular unit creates different-sized furniture pieces according to the needs of an individual, making the most out of the least available space. Designed by John Arndt and Wonhee Jeong, the Peg furniture system is made using a lightweight torsion box construction method with solid wood frames from a variety of domestic American hardwoods, oak, hickory, ash, beech, douglas fir and walnut.
