I am a beach bum and my buddies and I try and head over to the beckoning sun, sands and surf wherever possible. I have vacationed in many corners of the world and have invariably incorporated the beach-scene as well. Bondi to Mombasa, they all have one thing in common, ample golden grains! This turf demands comfortable seating and plenty of shade, while you spend hours lazing and reading a book or catching the latest tunes. Designer Yonatan Zur has fashioned this cool pin-up beach chair and umbrella holder that looks to have a promising future.
Although details are sketchy, what I can decipher from the pictures is that the red stick-like contraption has a dual purpose. When it’s attached to the grooves of the board, it functions like a pin-up, so that you can hang the chair in a closet. And when you detach it, it hooks up an umbrella in the tapered end, while the broad end can be used to fix it firmly in the sand. The wide board bends up to accommodate your derriere. Enough said, this practical/portable chair is all that one needs to carry to the beach for catching some zzz.
