Push Bench encourages interaction between people

Inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s Fly Eye Dome, the “Push Bench” by Tim Wigmore is an ordinary object that can be assembled in different ways to create a number of intricate designs. Supporting interaction and collaboration between different people and communities, the modular bench encourages creativity by taking it to the wider community. Finished in Harakeke (flax) fiber, resin binder and stainless steel, the benches by the Kiwi designer use an innovative low-tech low impact rotational casting process to form various configurations according to the needs of the location as well as liking of the users. The Push Bench measuring 350mm in length and 850mm in width also lets the users play with their creativity while forming different shapes.
