Located in a high school in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, the ‘Reef benches’ by Remy & Veenhuizen has come presents an inspiring seating landscape that allows the students an escape area within the school campus. Forming a contrast to the confined surroundings of the school edifice, the stylish benches features stylized dunes placed on the gray tiled rooftop. Experimenting with spatial models, the Dutch designers have stacked the wooden structures in a precise manner that lets the slats to move slowly but without disturbing the fundamental structure, adding an organic and lively backdrop to the school campus.
