When the whole world is surviving by cooking food with an external heat source, designer Laetitia Fourquier dares to swim against the tide. Being a part of Gaz de France Contest, the designer rolled out these Cooking Balls that truly defy today’s cooking trends. Intended for the future, around 2020 (not too far away), Laetitia cooked up this avant-garde concept that can heat up by going inside the food. Normally if you want to heat up any food, you must heat it up from the exterior using a pan, but with Cooking Ball you put the source of heat inside the food. Instead of throwing the ingredients over fire you need to throw these balls in them! Each ball contains a limited volume of natural gas and a remote switch and they can be place in an ordinary or specially designed pan. Perfect for those always on the go!
You don’t need to worry about its safety aspect too as there is no flame but only very small volume of gas with visual markers indicting the intensity. Absolutely hygienic, recyclable and efficient, it is green too as there is no waste of energy!
