American ranch houses may take little efforts, time and budget for construction, but they don’t support a sustainable lifestyle by any means, as they hardly provide specific space for hanging and drying wet clothes in natural air, and consume surplus energy to run dryer machine. Providing a solution, designer Jaewoo Kang has created a mobile laundry unit dubbed the “Run Dry” that to dry your wet clothes in a more sustainable manner.
Integrating micro wind turbines on the sidewalls and photovoltaic panels on the rooftop, the sustainable unit converts wind and solar energy into electricity for laundry and other household works. Attached against existing ranch house, the Run Dry also features smart clotheslines and cross ventilation system that uses natural air to dry wet clothes. Moreover, the modular laundry unit can be attached to any house, located anywhere in America, ensuring a sustainable lifestyle.
