Renovating rather re-skinning a beat-up 1960s MG Midget in sturdy recycled and overstock materials, creative artist Ann Conte in collaboration with ceramic artist Jeanne Wiley has come up with an innovative vehicle that not just looks good but also helps in sustaining the environment. Currently on display as part of an exhibit at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA, the car features a woven basket-like exterior, and the interior of the car, including the seats, floorboards and windshield, is finished in a partially recycled material called Corian Terra made by DuPont. While the handmade ceramic flowers, headlights and taillights give the car a purely artistic design.
