In a world full of challenges where efficiency and output are the two most important terms in a work environment, you are bound to get drained both physically and mentally. It is therefore important to embrace a “post work routine” (at home) which ensures that you are relaxed enough to face the same challenges the next day. “Serene” by designer Pinpach Piyatiratitivorakul is a biosensor stress therapy device which facilitates that routine and gets rid of your work stress. Apparently a concept design, Serene uses a biosensor to asses your emotional state and then guides the user through different sound and light combinations to relieve the stress, bringing interaction with the device into use. Serene gets its design inspiration from nature and depicts water dripping with ripples – eventually taking that shape in the art form. Just as a water droplet produces a sound on rippling, this device also emits sounds with different values through each of the ripples on the Serene. This process is coupled with light emitting through the translucent material.
