China has always been in news for reasons good and bad. Rising population, innovative technology, mass production, affordable counterfeit products and, of course, medals at Olympics has brought popularity to this country in recent times. However, future seems to be more bright and starry with mobile Chinatowns floating in the air. Dubbed as ‘Superstar: A Mobile China Town, this project is the brainwork of MAD. Before you accuse me of name-calling, allow me to clarify that Mad is an architectural design studio from Beijing. And this floating city of the future is in response to the ‘Uneternal City’ exhibition. Colossal enough to carry 15,000 natives, this town will have everything that you and me can ask for a comfortable sustainable lifestyle. Right from resorts, malls to oriental trademarks like health resorts, drinking water lakes and sports facilities. It also promises to dole out most sought-after Chinese cuisine and made-in-China products.
Flying all over our globe, this 100% self-sufficient setup will be capable enough to power the whole settlement and at the same time recycle its own waste. Come 2050 and you can expect to see this futuristic flying Chinatown on its maiden voyage over Rome.
