The Access is a good find if one is looking for a fitness machine that is easily accessible. So much is happening in the world of fitness these days that sometimes, we do stop to wonder, what is happening to those who really cannot workout? Take for example, a person paralyzed from the waist down. Now, how can one be hanging from those bars and pulling down ropes, if they are not able to reach them? J. Ryan Eder from the University of Cincinnati has come out with such a machine called the Access, that has not only won an International Design Award, but has won a lot more peoples hearts for his simplified design to help people with disabilities. So, be it a short person or a tall one, the Access is designed to give you a full-body workout. One can easily reach for the grips and lock the wheelchair in for those triceps curls. This is based on a very simple design, yet compliments the fitness equipment for today’s use. The Access is truly a universal design.
