With technology becoming more affordable and advanced, we have seen a huge increase in the number of vehicles hitting the road. Result – endlessly waiting in long queue for vehicles to move. Single person journeys not only add to the traffic jams, but also waste precious fuel. Taking all these problems into consideration, Industrial designer Tom Kent has designed a concept for a future transportation system. Dubbed the “Cell”, the all-electric three-wheel vehicle comes equipped with a unique shape changing mechanism that allows driver to manually control the width of the front track to solve urban congestion issues. The transparent solar panels on the side and the roof apart from charging the onboard battery bank also allow ample of natural light in.
