Tropicana has taken outdoor advertising to an all-new level with the latest orange-powered Tropicana billboard. This billboard has been designed for the French market. This billboard is powered by entirely by oranges, and this power lights up a neon sign that reads “ Natural Energy” , in French of course, along with the Tropicana Logo.
The concept is not only unique and instantly impressive, it is also remarkably in tune with what the company promises through it’s product. After all, Tropicana juices is all about a natural source of energy for your body! This billboard is powered entirely by fresh oranges, which is a clean and green source of energy itself.
This Orange power source came into existence after a lot of hard work. Several thousand copper and zinc spikes were used apart from loads of wiring and experiments were carried out for three months before they could finally come up with a giant multi-cell battery that was powerful enough to light up the bill board.
The advertising company, which came up with this brilliant idea was DDB, Paris, France. The custom build was produced in Unit9 in collaboration with director Johnny Hardstaff, who also made the 90-second video. Let us hope that this Tropicana “Natural Energy” campaign paves the way for more outdoor campaigns relying on a green source of power.
