Torkel Dohmer, in designing ‘thisway’ bicycle, shows how thinking differently enables one to get noticed. Perhaps this won him ‘Commuter Bike for the Masses’ design competition. Clearly, this bicycle design differs from the customary designs at our disposal. This comfy bike swanks weather protection feature owing to the covered top. Built-in LED lights at the front and the rear, draw energy from the roof-mounted solar cells. The car-like ergonomics would be the USP of this wonderful vehicle, if it ever comes to existence.
Lest you tumble over, a low center of gravity is ensured via an adjustable riding position. With a space for luggage, this futuristic-concept bike becomes evermore usable. As this lightweight (approximately 11-12kg) bike is made from carbon or flax fiber and some hydro-formed aluminum, it leads to higher manufacturing cost. Hope zero running cost might compensate for that!
