As a genre, Steampunk really impresses me. But I guess these mechanical wooden toys are out to give stem-driven toys and gadgets a good run for their money. These wonderful wood toys from the Timberkits line are currently on display at the New York Toy Fair 2008 and include a fantastic line of wood automations you can build yourself. Complete with dragons, pigs, drummers and piano players, the line also lets you build a motor if you don’t want to use a crankshaft. It’s like a Woodpunk world out there!
