Cramped living spaces in modern urban dwellings means people cannot afford placing bulky sculptures as home decor. However, the ‘Turn’ is a carving with a difference that the users can employ in multiple ways. Presented at the Pasadena Museum of California Art Design Biennial, the kinetic sculpture is finished with recycled hardwood flooring of a local college gymnasium. The rolling weight within, keeps the sculpture in an upright position, without any external support. When laid on the floor, the Turn can also be used as a bench, a table or a lounge. Apart from the hardwood, you may go for the sustainable plywood and plastic finish as well.
Usability:
The Turn is not just a piece of art or decoration but it also takes the form of functional furniture to be placed in your living space as well as the outdoors. Moreover, it will allow you to play your part in supporting the environmental cause.
