University of Southern Denmark to reduce energy consumption by 75 percent

Slated to be inaugurated in 2013, the new building for the University of Southern Denmark by Henning Larsen Architects provides a study and work environment to the students and employees. Situated in the town of Kolding, the structure is claimed to be the first low-energy university building in Denmark, for it’ll just consume 48 kWh/m2/year that is 75 percent less in comparison to such other university buildings. Classified as a low-energy class 1 building, the structure features spatial arrangement to harness optimum natural light and ventilation, teaching the lessons of a sustainable lifestyle to the students.
