What if legendary Dr. Ferdinand Porsche had access to modern technology while designing his cars? This was the question which haunted the thoughts of Woosung Chung as he designed the VW Aerocoupe. The resultant car is a true mix of retro and future; Aerocoupe reflects modernity with an underlying characteristically historic Volkswagen look. Chung has a Masters from Pforzheim University and looking from the eyes of Dr. Ferdinand, he has created a masterpiece that reflects the development of VW type 60K10 Aerocoupe (also called Porsche 64). The concept borrows the old aerodynamic body shape and gives it a twinge of modernity. The classic oval cockpit is refined with the help of dark and delicate interior elements. The engine has a drivetrain built by Lohner-Porsche, which is credited with world’s first hybrid vehicle. In using the classic VW model, artist has captured the relationship between VW and Porsche wonderfully and in giving it a contemporary look with futuristic tech, he has created a magnificent visual.
