Yas Marina captured the imagination of the world when it debuted in debuted in November 2009 as the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The island is set to enthrall the world once again with Yas Island Yacht Club set in the backdrop of Yas Marina and F1 Track. Designed by Omiros One Architecture for Aldar Properties the 5 star club makes a resounding addition to the already existing leisure and hospitality facilities within the precinct.
The Yacht Club comprises of two buildings of which the first is more expressive and prominent as the second maintains a quieter profile with its waist-shaped glass internal courtyard. The club has a curvilinear form that links it extremely well with the nautical theme. The Yacht club has sparkling white exterior shells integrated with LED façade lights which transform the giant structure into a pixilated viewing screen against the night sky. The 5 star club houses restaurants, bars, lounges, function rooms, outdoor decks and 45-metre observation tower.
